| Customer Reviews: Best Night Solution We've Found July 23, 2010 SAHM My son is day-time potty trained (yea!) but still pees HUGE amounts in his sleep! (We do let our kids keep water by the bed and he drinks through the night, which I know doesn't help.) These usually feel damp on the outside in the morning, which I don't like, but it's not so much that it transfers (to his pajamas, sheets, etc.) so it's not a big deal, plus I haven't found anything better. If we leave them on and he pees more in them after he wakes up, it does overload it to the point that his pajamas will get wet and/or he'll leave "spots" where he sits, so we make sure to have him switch to underwear and use the toilet as soon as he gets up. My daughter also wore these (the girl version) for about a year after she was day-time trained. She didn't pee as much in the night, though, so we didn't have any issue at all with them. I do wish these went up to larger sizes because we have big kids (my son - age 2.5 - was in size 7 regular diapers for awhile before he was potty-trained) and these are snug but ok now, but I'm worried we'll have to switch to the more expensive underwear-type night diapers before he stops needing something at night.
Great Price and Super Convenient April 5, 2010 TJ's Mom (California) I'm super glad that I don't have to order these anymore. We have hit the promised land of potty training. These are a good price and it's so convenient for the busy mom.
Huggies Overnights (dry) left blue marks on toddler's skin! November 11, 2009 G. Heath 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased these once my toddler was almost fully potty trained. These were protection for at night in case he had an accident. My toddler has always worn Pampers, but tried these since they advertised nighttime use. I only used these at night and with each night, my toddler woke completely dry as he had been doing the past couple of months in a regular size 6 diaper. But after the first few nights, I noticed bluish marks on the most upper/inner part of his thigh, right where the elastic goes around his most upper thigh area. I had thought he straddled something from the preschool playground. But, this wasn't the case because after bath that night it was much lighter. The next morning, same thing, just as blue! I started looking this up online and apparently I wasn't the only one who experienced this. My concern was the dye and what it was doing to my toddler's skin/system. I plan to contact Huggies about this, as I'm sure they are already aware of this. I don't know why they put such a dark blue on the side stripe and lines here and there throughout the diaper. I've since switched to pampers pull ups, much lighter blue on side of diaper, almost a baby blue. I haven't seen blue marks on my toddler. Please use the pampers first or try and all natural, which is my next step if the pampers do the same thing. From researching online, I found out the following:
"Most children are able to use the product without incident, however
some do react to the dye they use.
It appears that in some cases, the children respond with rash or
dermatitis, and in others, a small blue stain."
Please keep in mind my toddler did not have a "small blue stain" it ran the complete inner part of his leg.
Reliable August 11, 2009 Lena 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We use these Huggies Night-Time Pull-Ups for both of our sons for possible overnight wetting. We have found them to be comfortable for the boys and reliable for us. Sometimes they leak (when soaked) but that is because we do what you probably should not when trying to get kids to stay dry through the night: we'd been giving them a sippie cup of water to sleep w/ (or water just before bed)! We're clearly not all that concerned w/ overnight wetting yet, even so, these Pull-Ups don't leak all that often (even when soaked). Our boys are 5 and 3. Money-saving suggestion: sign up for Subscribe and Save and get the discount. This makes them cheaper than at Wal*Mart and Costco... AND they come to your DOORSTEP!! No more going out to get diapers/pull ups. Seemed overrated at first since I'm always at both places but, it has been a Godsend! We love the cheaper price and that we don't have to be concerned w/ getting them. Set your shipment to when you'd normally run out and sure enough, a new box will arrive just as you're down to a few remaining! (Amazon provides FREE Super Saver Shipping on these as well... day quick shipping!!) Can't say enough. Rated them only 4 stars b/c they DO leak sometimes but, again, who gives their kids drinks at bedtime... WE DO! ;)
best of the lot.... August 7, 2009 MH (NY, NY) very absorbent and works well during night-training. my son wakes up 'hoping' the stars are still on the pull up in the morning (which means he was dry all night). one day we'll be 'off' these, but until then, it's quite an assurance overnight to keep a dry bed.
